Project Description:

(i) Tambaram to Tindivanam section of NH-45 will be upgraded from km28.000 to km 50.000 with six lane Elevated corridor and at grade 4-lane with Service roads, duly integrating with existing and/ or proposed Elevated structures for arriving Technically feasible and economical proposal.  From km 50.000 to km 121.000 the proposal is for at-grade to 8 lanes, with 6 lane Elevated corridor/Flyovers in Built-up sections as per judicious requirement based on traffic requirement for NH-45. Project corridor passes through mainly plain terrain. Major bridges are proposed across the Water bodies such as Palar, Kiliyar and Madhuranthagam Lake. Project road has various structures such as ROBs, Grade separators, Flyovers, VUPs and PUPs. Staggered toll plaza sections are proposed without disturbing existing toll plazas. The at grade road under Elevated corridor is proposed to be constructed with rigid pavement and other sections are with flexible pavement.

(ii) The Second Project stretch from km.11.000 to Km21.400 (Madhavaram junction to ORR junction) of Chennai-Tada section of NH-5 passes through built-up area. Improvement proposal include upgradation with elevated corridor along the existing median with six lane at-grade road, which is also widened to entire existing ROW with rigid pavement. Entry/ Exit ramps are proposed to provide access from/to Elevated corridor at required locations.

(iii)Third project stretch from Km13.800 (Maduravoyal junction) to Km 35.800 (Near Sriperumbadur Toll plaza) of Walajahpet – Poonamalle Section of NH-4 is to be upgraded with six lane Elevated corridor and at grade 6-lane with Service roads, duly considering the projected Bangalore-Chennai Expressway traffic at merging point (at km 35.600 of Walajahpet-Poonamalle Section of NH-4). At existing flyover locations, second level crossing is proposed for elevated corridor. Entry/ Exit ramps are proposed to provide access from/to Elevated corridor at required locations. Toll plaza is provided to access the Bangalore-Chennai Expressway. The entire at grade road is proposed to be constructed with rigid pavement.

The project road section starts from Kishangarh (Km 0.830 to Km 36.100 of NH-79A and Km 15.000 to Km 69.730 of NH-79) and ends near Gulabpura at Km 69.730 of NH-79. The project road is traversing through the districts of Ajmer & Bhilwara in Rajasthan. The project stretch passes through the major settlements such as Kishangarh, Chotta Udaipur, Tikawada, Arai, Srinagar, LabedaBir, Nasirabad, Lohdi, Hiyaliya, Bandanwara, Galteeshmeel, Vijayanagar and Gulabpura. The project stretch is in plain terrain. Project Description:  The objective of the study is to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for selected road corridors in the city of Alappuzha. Short and long term road improvement measures have been envisaged separately covering road network in the core town area and suburbs. The study for short term improvement proposal is to cover about twenty one (21) road corridors in the core town area, whereas the long term development proposal included Four (4) selected corridors located in the suburbs.
