Project Description: The proposed Jammu ring road is a Greenfield alignment with four lane configuration. The ring road will decongest the Jammu city and pave the way for the through traffic in NH-1A that is crossing Jammu to Kashmir from other parts of the country, especially from neighboring states like Punjab. The total length of the road is 58.25 km out of which 11.75 km are in Hilly terrain. The project includes 2 tunnels, 8 Flyovers, 16 underpasses, 4 viaducts, 31 minor bridges, 8 major bridges, 255 culverts, intersections, service roads and project facilities. The entire road is proposed to be constructed with rigid pavement except hilly terrain where it is flexible pavement.
