Preparation of Comprehensive Mobility Plan for Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC)

Nagpur is second capital of the Maharashtra State. Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is spread over an area of 217.65 Sq. Km. The population of the city is 24.05 lakhs (as per 2011 census) with an average density of 95 persons per hectare.

The main objective of the study is to prepare the Transportation Master Plan that will meet the intent and requirements of the Nagpur city and provide guidance for the future of the city’s transportation system. The study recommended short & long term traffic and transport plans to be implemented in phases that will consider the future urban development’s and optimize the use of the existing transport facilities, for smooth, safe and efficient flow of traffic.
