Project Description: To cater to the increased travel demand and to improve the transport infrastructure in the city, Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has commissioned a “Comprehensive Traffic and Transportation Study (CTTS) for Jaipur Region”.
The objective of the study is to prepare the long-term transport strategy for Jaipur Region (area of 2,940 sq.km and population of 40 lakhs as per 2011 census) and identify a practicable and effective investment program up to 2037 in line with the National Urban Transport Policy (NUTP), 2006.
The study includes the estimation of traffic demand and preparation of improvement schemes for short, medium and long term perspectives. The main objective is to match the transport demand with the supply in terms of transport infrastructure.
