Project Year: 2013
VGS Group INC, USA (VGS) is proposing to develop an offshore LNG import terminal at 20m water depth within the port limits of Kakinada Deep Water Port. The proposed development requires mathematical model study to estimate operational downtime for the terminal, extreme wave height at the terminal, storm surge due to past cyclones, advection-dispersion study for the return cold water from regasification of LNG, estimation of scour depth around the pile of LNG terminal and suspended sediment concentration during dredging for forming the pipe trench.
L&T – Ramboll Consulting Engineering Limited(LTR) has been appointed to carry out the required mathematical model study for the development of LNG Terminal.
