National Highway 5 (NH 5) is a major National Highway in India situated on India’s east coast starting from Chennai and ending at Jarpokharia passing through the states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Orissa. The present Project road under scope of improvement starts at Martur town of Chilakaluripet at Ch.1182.802 via Ongole (Ch.1250) of Prakasam district, Kavali (Ch.1322) of Nellore district and ends at bypass of Nellore town of Ch. 1366.547.
